In keeping with the beliefs and practices of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), we do not have women serve as pastors or elders. However, women are an important part of the church and serve in many other capacities, from altar guild to church council to ushers and more. There are two women only ministries in our church.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." - Proverbs 31:30
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. The LWML focuses on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Our LWML meets once a month. Part of the meeting includes a Bible Study. They serve at soup suppers, host fellowship time for Chorale concerts, attend LWML rallies, and collect items for various missions.
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 1:00pm in the Bride's Room (Prayer Room).
The Ladies Aid is a women's Bible Study and fellowship time. They meet on the second Thursday of the month at 12:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. (September - December and April - May). All women are welcome to come.
Many of the ladies who are a part of Ladies Aid also help serve funeral meals and provide deserts.
